דִּבְרֵי תּוֹרָה פָּרִין וְרַבִּין
דִּבְרֵי תּוֹרָה וּפַרְשָׁנוּיוֹת שׁוֹנוֹת יְכוֹלִים לְהָבִיא לְחִדּוּשֵׁי תּוֹרָה וּמִדְרָשִׁים מְקוֹרִיִּים נוֹסָפִים (פִּרְיָן וְרַבִּין מַשְׁמָע מוֹלִידִים וּמִתְרַבִּים, כְּמוֹ בַּפָּסוּק בִּבְרֵאשִׁית א כב: "וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם אֱלֹהִים לֵאמֹר פְּרוּ וּרְבוּ וּמִלְאוּ אֶת הַמַּיִם").

Words of Torah and various interpretations can lead to new Torah insights and additional original midrashim (they ‘be fruitful and multiply,’ meaning they generate and increase, as in the verse in Genesis 1:22: ‘And God blessed them, saying: Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters’).
(Even he opened and expounded (Ecclesiastes 12): 'Words of the wise are like goads and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings given by one shepherd' - why are words of Torah compared to a goad? To tell you: just as a goad directs the cow to its calves to bring forth life forever, so too words of Torah direct their learners from ways of death to ways of life. What kind of goad is this that also agitates? Likewise, words of Torah agitate - meaning study is called nails. What kind of nail is incomplete and insufficient? Likewise, words of Torah are not lacking and not superfluous - meaning study is called implanted. What kind of planting is this fertile and abundant? Likewise, words of Torah are fruitful and multiply. The 'owners of assemblies' - these are the wise students who sit in assemblies and engage in Torah study.' (Chagigah 3b))
