אָדָם שֶׁאֵינוֹ יְהוּדִי שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה עֲבוּר יְהוּדִי מְלָאכוֹת הָאֲסוּרוֹת עָלָיו בַּעֲשִׂיָּה בְּיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת. בִּתְנָאִים מְסֻיָּמִים יָכוֹל הַיְּהוּדִי לְהֵנוּת מִמְּלָאכוֹת שֶׁעָשָׂה הַגּוֹי בְּשַׁבָּת עַל אַף שֶׁלּוֹ עַצְמוֹ אָסוּר לְבִצְעָן.

Shabbes Goy (a Gentile who does any work forbidden to Jews)

הגדרה (אנגלית)

A person who is not Jewish who performs forbidden labors on behalf of a Jew on the Sabbath. Under certain conditions, a Jew may benefit from labors that the gentile performed on the Sabbath, even though it is forbidden for the Jew himself to perform those labors.

("We have seen that Israel must stipulate with the gentile from the outset of their partnership that the Shabbes Goy shall carry and Israel shall do weekday work, and if they did not stipulate this from the outset, then it is forbidden." - Teshuvot HaGeonim, Musafia (Leik) section 67, and likewise: "The worshippers went to their homes and the Shabbes Goy came and extinguished the candles." - Agnon / 'These and Those', Orphan and Widow, 137)
