Fortunate are you to be seized for words of Torah

Fortunate are you to be seized for words of Torah

Fortunate are you that your suffering is due to good deeds you have done for the sake of the Torah or the public, and not because of transgressions or sins. An expression said about a person who was seized by a foreign authority for a good deed he did.

("Not many days passed until they seized Rabbi Akiva and imprisoned him, and they seized Pappus ben Yehuda and imprisoned him with him. He said to him: Pappus! Who brought you here? He answered: Fortunate are you, Rabbi Akiva, who was seized for words of Torah; woe to Pappus who was seized for idle matters" - Berakhot 61b)
