The twelve signs of the zodiac according to astrology. By extension: a person's fortune (originally: the belief of the ancient astrologers that there is an imaginary circle in the heavens where the sun revolves around the earth, and this circle is divided into twelve signs).

שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר הַמַּזָּלוֹת א"פ הָאַסְטְרוֹלוֹגְיָה. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: מַזָּלוֹ שֶׁל אָדָם (בַּמָּקוֹר: אֱמוּנַת הַתּוֹכְנִים הַקַּדְמוֹנִים וּלְפִיו קַיָּם מַעְגָּל דִּמְיוֹנִי שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם שֶׁבּוֹ מִסְתּוֹבֶבֶת הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ מִסָּבִיב לְכַדּוּר הָאָרֶץ, וּמַעְגָּל זֶה מְחֻלָּק לְשָׁנִים עָשָׂר מַזָּלוֹת).
