Middle Ages
A period of about 1,000 years, roughly from the 5th century to the 15th century, spanning the fall of the Western Roman Empire and ending with the discovery of America and the invention of printing. This period lies between two eras: Antiquity and the Renaissance.

תְּקוּפָה שֶׁל כְּ-1000 שָׁנָה בֵּין הַמֵּאָה הַחֲמִישִׁית לְעֵרֶךְ, תְּקוּפַת נְפִילַת הָאַמְפֶּרְיָה הָרוֹמִית הַמַּעֲרָבִית, לַמֵּאָה הַחֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה בָּהּ נִתְגַּלְּתָה אָמֵרִיקָה וְהֻמְצָא הַדְּפוּס. תְּקוּפָה זוֹ נִמְצֵאת בֵּין שְׁתֵּי תְּקוּפוֹת,'הָעֵת הָעַתִּיקָה', לִתְקוּפַת הָרֵנֵסַנְס.
