Remembrance Day (Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day/ Day of Remembrance/ Rosh Hashana holyday
Today: a day commemorating fallen IDF soldiers and victims of hostile acts, or the memorial day for those murdered in the Holocaust. (Originally, the intention was the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, as stated in Leviticus 23:24: “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be for you a sabbath, a memorial of blowing, a holy convocation.”)

כַּיּוֹם: יוֹם לְזֵכֶר חַלְלֵי צַהַ"ל וְנִפְגְּעֵי פְּעֻלּוֹת הָאֵיבָה אוֹ יוֹם הַזִּכָּרוֹן לַנִּרְצָחִים בַּשּׁוֹאָה.
