Do not judge your fellow before you have examined the circumstances and 'come to the place' where he was when he did what he did. This proverb calls for considering all circumstances, both objective and subjective, and the person's emotional and mental state before judging him.

("Hillel says: Do not separate yourself from the community and do not trust in yourself until the day of your death, and do not judge your fellow until you come to his place"—Avot 2:4.
