Grief or mental distress. A feeling of exhaustion from excessive sorrow (literally: weakness of thought).

("The weakness of knowledge is the weakness of knowledge" - Shabat Na'ab, and so: "Thus the Torah will expand in the dimensions of the Creator with materialistic recommendations, according to the weakness of knowledge of the people, and will hint at intellectual matters to those who practice wisdom and morality" - we have heard in the beginning of chapter 1, and so: "For today the weakness of knowledge has become for me, a pearl of my soul, "And my heart fainted, and I was troubled in spirit" - H.
