Destruction of First (or Second) Temple
הגדרה (אנגלית)
The Temple was destroyed. The first temple was called 'the first house' (the origin of the name 'the first house' is found in the Tanakh as well as in the verse in Ezra 3:12: "And many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers' houses, the elders who had seen the first house at its foundation, this house in their eyes, wept with a loud voice").
("These are the prayers of a man who has no brother, against his father and against his mother, against his teacher who taught him Torah and wisdom, against the burning of the Torah, against the destruction of the house, against the evil report, against the curse of the name, and against the one who sees Jerusalem in its destruction" - Masachot Kettanot Masachet Shemachot Chapter 9, 19, and so on: "And at the head of it was Rabbi Yosef Yosef And the student stood, and from the beginning of the second house, they all went to teach the students, and there they sat down" - Sefer Hamada, Hilchot Talmud Torah, Part Four, 2, 117, and so on: "There is a prohibition against lamentation and weeping. But what is he mourning for? For the sin he committed, for the destruction of the house, the exile of the Shechinah, for our poverty and humiliation - Y.L. (burst/ roll of a disease)
