A person is not called righteous unless he is good
A person who is 'righteous' only by fulfilling religious commandments but is not a kindhearted person is not considered truly righteous.

אָדָם שֶׁהוּא "צַדִּיק" רַק בְּקִיּוּם מִצְווֹת הַדָּת אַךְ אֵינוֹ אָדָם טוֹב לֵב אֵינוֹ בְּגֶדֶר צַדִּיק.
