Man Honors His Place
Man, together with his individuality, are those who grant honor to the place where man dwells.
("He said to her: Tnina, Rabbi Yosei Omer says: A person's place does not determine his honor, but a person honors his place. For we decreed on Mount Sinai that as long as the Shekhinah remained upon it - the Torah says (names 19) - even the sheep and the cattle shall not graze near that mountain, for the Shekhinah has departed from it - the Torah says (names 19) - during the Jubilee. "They will go up to the mountain" - Ta'anit 21b)

הָאָדָם יַחַד עִם אִישִׁיּוּתוֹ שֶׁלּוֹ הֵם אֵלּוּ שֶׁמַּעֲנִיקִים כָּבוֹד לַמָּקוֹם בּוֹ הָאָדָם שׁוֹהֶה.
("אָמַר לֵהּ: תְּנִינָא, רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: לֹא מְקוֹמוֹ שֶׁל אָדָם מְכַבְּדוֹ, אֶלָּא אָדָם מְכַבֵּד אֶת מְקוֹמוֹ. שֶׁכֵּן מָצִינוּ בְּהַר סִינַי שֶׁכָּל זְמַן שֶׁהַשְּׁכִינָה שְׁרוּיָה עָלָיו- אָמְרָה תּוֹרָה (שְׁמוֹת לֵד) גַּם הַצֹּאן וְהַבָּקָר אַל יִרְעוּ אֶל מוּל הָהָר הַהוּא, נִסְתַּלְּקָה שְׁכִינָה מִמֶּנּוּ- אָמְרָה תּוֹרָה (שְׁמוֹת י"ט) בִּמְשֹׁךְ הַיֹּבֵל הֵמָּה יַעֲלוּ בָהָר"-תַּעֲנִית כא ע"ב)
