Better a meal of vegetables with love than a fattened ox with hatred/ better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a stalled ox and hatred therewith
Better is the life of a simple, poor man, who has love and peace in him, than the life of a rich man, who is full of hatred and strife. He began with the praise of love and peace in the house ("green living" means simple and inexpensive living. "A manger bull" means a weaned bull, a symbol of wealth).
