You shall love your neighbor as yourself

Man should strive to love the poor as he loves himself. There is a great commandment in the Torah and in morality that obliges us to act according to the principle of loving our fellow beings, and helping the poor. A proverb like this: "What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor."
