Attempted to bring about the acceleration of redemption and the coming of the Messiah by means of unusual deeds. Or: lacked the patience to wait until the end and tried to hasten the arrival of the matter (דַּחַק meaning pressing, urging; קֵץ meaning 'end of days' or 'end times').
