The Earth

The third planet from the Sun, which orbits it and on which we live; "globe" means a round body on all sides.

('He will violently whirl you and toss you like a ball into a broad land; there you shall die, and there shall be the chariots of your glory, O disgrace of your master's house' — Isaiah 22:18; and likewise: 'But the Garden of Eden is a fertile place on the globe of the earth... extraordinarily wonderful plants whose benefit is great and whose enjoyment is abundant, apart from those known to us, and all this is not impossible or far off, but rather its possibility is near' — Maimonides, Commentary on the Mishnah, Tractate Sanhedrin, chapter 10; and likewise: 'As the Creator of the ends of the earth.
