(The original source of the expression comes from three Torah verses where the word “kol” is mentioned regarding each of the patriarchs: Genesis 24:1: “And Abraham was old, coming in days, and the LORD blessed Abraham in all things”; Genesis 27:33: “Whoever it may be, he brought me food and I ate of everything before it came, and I blessed him; blessed be he also”; and Genesis 33:10: “And Jacob said …please take my blessing that was brought to you, for God has favored me and I have everything, and he urged him and he took it.”)
